| History of ALISLAMI |
|
A journey into our glorious past
The ALISLAMI story unfolds in the early seventies, when Hajj Saeed Bin Ahmad Lootah instituted the Dubai Co-operative Society. With relentless dedication, untiring efforts and outstanding integrity, the company soon began to set standards for others to follow. And in 1981, with a goal to make Real Halal food available for consumers, Dubai Co-operative Society established ALISLAMI. By coordinating Islamic supervision on all meat products imported from outside the UAE, ALISLAMI quickly gained the trust of millions of consumers through its first product line - frozen chicken - across the UAE and the Gulf.
Spurred on by this success, ALISLAMI continued its efforts to produce a variety of Real Halal meat products like mutton, beef, burgers, sausages, kebabs, minced meat and more.

In 1991, Dubai Co-operative Society established the first fully owned meat processing plant in the Jebel Ali Free Zone. Hitherto, food products were produced outside the country under Alislami representatives supervisopn, but with the commissioning of this breakthrough plant it was now possible to produce a variety of Real Halal food products under the name ALISLAMI within the country. Since then, the plant has widened its product portfolio, and using state-of-the-art technology, continues to add new, high-quality products to satisfy the growing needs of the consumers' tastes. These include Halal-certified ALISLAMI Feta White Cheese, Glass Cheese, Portion Cheese, Slice Cheese, Mozzarella, Halloumi Cheese, and more.

Today, after over 3 decades of consumer confidence, ALISLAMI products continue to set the quality benchmark in the industry. Trusted by consumers across the UAE and the GCC, ALISLAMI is reckoned as one of most preferred brands in the region. Nevertheless, these remarkable achievements are only the beginning, even as ALISLAMI continues to establish its leadership in producing quality Halal food products locally and regionally.
